An honest kid.... and not even a JW! He won't be one of the experiences on the assembly!
Nice story, I am happy to hear that there are many good hearted people left in the world!
thx Simon!
it's easy to get down and disheartened about depressing world events.. it's important to remember that the good guys outnumber the bad guys, they just don't make the headlines as often.. so here's a nice story:.
on sunday, 11-year-old tontrevion campbell went to church with his mom.. at the same time, police say, burglars entered his home and broke one of the commandments.. as the memphis police department describes it on its facebook page: "the thief or thieves stole several of his mom's items, but they also stole the young man's xbox game system and every single game that this 11-year-old owned.".
there are quite a few adults who'd be upset.

just having a quick read through, the findings are damning.
mr toole is being reported to the law society of australia.... a few highlights so far:.
What has made me feel ago good, when watching ARC, is that "law" was not the bullet that usually "kills" getting too the root of the problem, and preventing children, and victim's from being truly helped.
Thank you Angus, thank you judges, & Royal Commission for carrying MORE for the children than their "organizational mother"!
i am sure this has probably been thought about, and maybe others have mentioned it already.
in fact, i cant even take credit for this brilliant idea.
it is a "tactic" that my father uses, to great effect, and he is a current jw.. as we all know, there is a wealth of info on the internet, and many other sources, that clearly exposes the many lies of the wts.
You could say you were going door to door, and someone asked......
I agree that this approach is a great way to disarm people who otherwise would be unapproachable.
thoughts?.

the quotation from the 1974 km is good..
so i'm loving the fact that my little one gets to be a "normal" child and take part in everything at school.
however i still have that stupid niggling in the back of my head that she shouldn't be doing it and it's wrong etc.
at the moment she is rehearsing for the nativity play and keeps singing the songs at home (she is going to be an angel!
Dear Feeling Free, and TimeHeals,
Really, if all of the JW stuff is made up, what is the point of being afraid of something that is not real? Remember that movie with Jim Carrie? The Truman Show?
Once he figured out that he was just living on a TV show set, why not just go into the REAL world and live?
Embrace life, embrace the moment.... live and love.
Cha Ching!
so on last saturday, one of my good child hood friends (i consider her like a real sister) who is da posted on facebook that she was going to be having a birthday party for her son.
well another person we grew up with immediately posted a comment about how she should know better then to celebrate bdays and referenced 2 peter 2:20-22 (about being like a dog turning to its own vomit).
i countered with with luke 11:37-49 and didn't hear back.
Really, what can be so absolutely bad about celebrating life, right?
What if those two abominous kings that the WT loves to talk about ("they KILLED people on their birthday, so don't be celebrating birthdays") had killed people on their"anniversaey"? Hmmmm?
I think we would still be able to celebrate our marriages, right?
Just because those two kings did terribly murderous things, did all the other of hundreds of kings do so? Why cant we copy the nice kings?
Pharisees, who love to make rules, control people... They love their power!
Let's love our kids! ; - )
what better way to scam a few hundred million off the top?
with all the conversations, and truly distractions, of shortfalls and money problems - sell off about 1.2 billion of highly valued, tax exempt, property in brooklyn ny and build an ehhh 500 million property upstate.
what happened to the missing 700 million?
It seems that the WT's survival depends on what the sheeple believe....
If they can get the sheeple to believe that they have spent all the money, need more money, are 'growing', using funds to the 'max', while all the while saving their donations...
THEN, when they have to pay out funds for court costs, the sheeple will have no clue, and just think, "oh well, the Society has used our funds for the kingdom preaching"...
Could this be what they are doing? Getting the publishers to "just believe" they are out of money? so if they are out of money (because of huge payoffs) the pubs won't know the real reason?

losch's refusal to appear in court when subpeona'd to give testimony before a judge over his involvement in child abuse cover up and endangerment lawsuit .
i think such conduct should take away his freeness of speech and label him as a supreme hypocrite for giving such a talk about letting one light shine when he seems to be afraid to let his light shine in a court of law.
this man's hypocrisy knows no limits, and is extremely shameful.
Dear Possum,
That is why I am so thankful for this, and other, websites... Information is the key!

Trey Bundy, an investigative reporter from Reveal News, wrote:
“Watchtower’s actions or omissions were ‘reprehensible,’ ” she wrote in her decision.
She also dismissed Lösch’s declaration that he, as a Governing Body member, had no power over the Watchtower.
“The award of punitive damages against them will hopefully send a message to Watchtower and its managing agents, the governing body of the Jehovah’s Witnesses, that their handling of sex abuse cases within their congregation was absolutely reckless,” she wrote.

some time ago, i wrote an extensive article on shunning and published it on my website.
since that website had views on doctrinal matters that no longer reflect my current stand, i took the website down.
however, my views on this matter are still current, and for the benefit of everyone here, i'm going to post the article here.
Thx Eden, I will use this info for future endeavors!
